Behind The Mic!

It is with great pleasure we bring to you "Behind the Mic", our live music showcase for all you performers and music lovers alike.

Come and join the 491 fun with a whole host of groovi tunes from our own backyards.

We have had a great response so far with a variety of musical flavours from gypsy punk, old school folk, rag time blues, ska, a hint of rock and smidgen of roll and plenty of singer songwriters just itching to share their creative talent.

All you need to do is rustle up some enthusiasm, and demonstrate a will to be entertained.

We look forward to seeing your smiles soon.

We have had such a great response to our monthly Behind the Mic event that we have decided to put on an end of year finali showcase the enormous array of talent, with an extension until 4am.

This month will welcome,
Gypsy Jazz (back by popular demand) with their double bass antics, hypnotic guitars and more recently complemented by their stunning vocalist

Healer Monster will yet again be ROCKING the house with their powerful sound and passionate performance

Perfect has been invited to grace us with her operatic excellence
Alice Rock will be punking it up with their 491 debut

Bobby Long a young acoustic guitarist and harmonica player will be plying us will some full on folk that Dylon would be proud of, (truely inspiring new talent)

T-Magic will be bringing down the house with their awesome Soul, Funk, Beatbox, Rapping duoPete Jones demonstrating 'The Jammer' an instrument of his own unique limited addition design.. great concept and awesome to seeOld Faithful will be bringing their gorgeous dulcid tones to our table

The Mengis blues Trio will be back to get our toes tapping

and the list goes on... set to be a night of musical wonderment.(line up subject to alteration at our discretion)

If you love great music, love to sing, love to play, and love to listen then our funky 491 flavour is just the ticket fr you.

Our cyber cafe will be serving quantum yum for your delight as you chillax to good tunes, in good company.

We also have a fabulous fire pit providing an awesome community hearth to sit aside and enjoy its warming glow whilst chatting with friends, both old and new.

We have large array of musicians and performers with a wide range of musical, creative flavours eager to share their wares to our willing and likeminded audience. This fun packed evening promisses a great way to spend your friday.
